The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and presented the first table of characters who will split off from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, connecting the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
According to the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and stealing all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a secure base in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit the urban setting:
- Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
- The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- However, their status as important members in the powerful family could assist the team enter places they normally couldn’t.
- Moreover, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now accompany him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The rogue and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This means them few options but to journey toward the northern region in search of Casimir.
